Water for Elephants  I liked it, I’m not sure I know what all the fuss was about.  Just didn’t stay with me that long.
Memory Keeper’s Daughter  Think I knew how it was going to end by Chapter 2.
Jesus Land Interesting, creepy book. A little detached - but that’s probably a coping mechanism. At times it’s difficult to believe that some of the more horrific things could have happened - and not been reported. I hope the author has a good therapist. Hard to believe that people could be so misguided, even harder to believe the reform camp where the author and her brother were sent still operates today.
The Ghost Map Steven Johnson (really interesting story of last huge cholera epidemic in London, and how two men in the neighborhood figured out how cholera is transmitted)
Predator Patricia Cornwell (ok…so now I know that Cornwell’s new product placement deal is with Treo and Hummer instead of Breitling and Mercedes. If you can get past the blatent infatuation with brand name objects…there’s a decent plot in there somewhere.)
